Summer of Psalms

Christmas Series, 2023

Sundays 17th and 24th December, and Christmas Day (9:30am)

Is there Room for Jesus?

December is often referred to as ‘the silly season’ because it is a time when our lives often become very full. We find ourselves very busy with finishing work projects, completing courses, planning family events and buying Christmas gifts for our loved ones.

In all of the business of the season an important question to ask is; have we made December so full that there is no longer room for Jesus in Christmas?

So, we are asking the question; is there room for Jesus in Christmas?

How do we shape our lives so that we are not losing sight of the reason for the season? And what does life look like when we make space for Jesus and put him at the centre of Christmas?

Praying the Lord's Prayer - until 12th November

The Lord's Prayer from Matthew 6:9-13 is perhaps the most well-known and beloved prayer in the history of the Church.

It is the example given by Jesus to his disciples and has been used as a model prayer for Jesus followers all across the world ever since.

This prayer does not have special properties, and is not a magic formula. Nor does it guarantee we will receive everything we ask for when we pray. However, it is a guide to how to pray in a way that is both meaningful and effective.
